Important legislation (House Bill 409) has been introduced in the Texas House of Representatives that would waive the park entrance fee for resident first responders who have completed at least 20 years of continuous service as a first responder or has a disability connected to their service as a first responder. The bill would also allow for the fee to be waived for an annual combination hunting/fishing license for resident first responders who have completed at least 20 years of continuous service as a first responder or has a disability connected to their service as a first responder.

First responders put their lives on the line every day and this is just one easy way we can thank them for their service.
