The Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Bexar County PAC has officially endorsed State Representative Marc LaHood in his campaign for re-election to Texas House District 121, citing his proven record of leadership and unwavering support for public safety and law enforcement initiatives.

A Champion for Law Enforcement

Representative LaHood has earned the trust and respect of Bexar County’s law enforcement community through bold legislative action and direct support of local policing efforts. Most notably, he was instrumental in securing $3 million in state funding for a new helicopter for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Gang Unit. This aerial asset significantly strengthens the county’s ability to conduct real-time surveillance, respond swiftly to crime scenes, and protect communities from violent and gang-related crime.

Legislative Leadership That Delivers

The endorsement also highlights LaHood’s legislative accomplishments, including the authorship of House Bill 4176, aimed at reducing emergency response wait times by expanding agency flexibility. In addition, his support for HB 2215 reinforced Second Amendment protections for district attorneys, and his work on legislation combating human trafficking, fentanyl trafficking, and cross-border crime has made him a stalwart advocate for Texas families.

Standing Shoulder-to-Shoulder with Law Enforcement

According to the PAC’s chair, Rene Ochoa, Representative LaHood “consistently stands shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement” and “delivers tangible results that bolster public safety in Bexar County and across Texas.” The organization emphasized their confidence in LaHood’s continued leadership and expressed eagerness to help secure his re-election.
