Families from across Bexar County gathered on Saturday, October 25, for ACT DSABC’s Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat, a growing community favorite that brings together law enforcement families and neighbors for an evening of spooky, safe, family-friendly fun. Sponsored by Bexar County Commissioner Grant Moody, the event created opportunities for everyone to enjoy a night of celebration and connection. Kids went trunk-to-trunk collecting candy from decorated vehicles, played games, and took photos with the Bexar County Sheriff’s SWAT Team. Deputies connected outside of uniformed duties with families from the local area—sharing smiles, stories, and Halloween spirit. As the charitable arm of the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Bexar Cunty (DSABC)ACT DSABC is dedicated to strengthening relationships between deputies and the communities they serve. Trunk or Treat embodies that mission by offering a joyful, secure space where families can come together and build lasting trust.

Trunk or Treat is about more than costumes and candy—it’s about community, connection, and care,” said Veronica Drake, Chairwoman of ACT DSABC. “Events like this remind us that behind every badge are families who love this community and who want to serve and celebrate alongside their neighbors.”

ACT DSABC thanks Commissioner Grant Moody and Dailey & Wells for their sponsorship. A big thanks to all the volunteers, deputies, and families who helped make this year’s Trunk or Treat possible. Together, we continue to build bridges of trust and make Bexar County a safer, stronger place for every family.
