Vacancy Announcement – Office of DSABC Vice President
DSABC Members:
The office of DSABC Vice President was vacated effective September 23, 2021. The Board of Directors is going to fill the vacancy by election. The vacancy is open to all duly qualified members in good standings in the Law Enforcement Tier.
We ask that any qualified member who is interested in seeking this position write and submit a Letter of Interest to the attention of the DSABC Secretary, via US Mail or hand delivery to 9200 Broadway, Ste. 106, San Antonio, TX 78217 or by email at [email protected].
The duties of the Vice President are to:
• Assist the President and be responsible to the general membership.
• Perform the duties of the President in the President’s absence or incapacity.
• Should the Office of the President become vacant, the Vice President shall become the President for the balance of that Presidential term of office.
Eligibility for office:
• Any candidate for the Vice President must be a member in good standing with the DSABC for at least ninety (90) days prior to the nominations.
• All vacancies shall be filled with a member assigned to the same Tier (Law Enforcement).
• All rules for Nominations and Elections follow Article V of the Constitution of the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Bexar County (DSABC).
The vacancy for Vice President will open tomorrow September 28, 2021 and will close October 12, 2021 at close of business, 1600 hours.
After receiving all Letters of Interest at the above-email address, the Board of Directors will go over all applicants before setting a date and time for interviews. All interview date and times will be posted when available.
